Maylie Monday: She's a Runner

A few weeks ago Ryan's work put on a 5k run for charity. They also did a little "fun run" for the kiddos to get involved. Maylie was so excited because she got to ride the train with Daddy to work.

I swear this is her excited face!
May is constantly running anywhere we go! If I want her to speed up, all I have to say is, "Run fast!" and she takes off! So she was pretty excited to get to run with all these other kiddos. Ryan says she kept getting distracted, and she fell down a couple times. But she loved it overall.

Maybe she'll take after her aunt Niki and be a runner someday!

Maylie Monday: Dance Class

Okay, first of all, let me say I am incredibly sorry for the horrible Maylie Monday last week. I have a whole list of excuses of why I had such a short post, but I am doubting that any of you wish to read them, so I will just say SORRY (this is for you Dad, I heard you complained to Mom).

Anyway, back to May.

She has started taking dance classes from her Aunt Riki! I wasn't sure if it would be worth doing at such a young age, but Maylie LOVES it! And she seriously gets better every week. Plus, I always wished I could be one of those girls who was able to say, "I've been dancing since I was two." So I figured I'd start early on imposing my life-long dreams on my child (Just kidding... Kinda.)

Here's a few picture of her class (it is a little difficult to get pictures of moving toddlers through a shaded window on an Iphone, excuse the bad quality):

Maylie Monday: Pure Happiness

Sometimes this little girl has moments of just pure happiness. However, she chooses to express these moments with the fakest smile you have ever seen. Check it out:

That is all.

Maylie Monday: The Zoo

Okay, so this post isn't ALL about Maylie, but it's mostly about her, so I'm going to say it'll do for Maylie Monday.

My parents came into town this weekend for mine and my dad's birthday (fun fact: they are back-to-back). Anyway, we decided to take Little Girl to the Hogel Zoo in Salt Lake. The morning of, May decided she wasn't going to be in the best of moods. I kept asking, "May do you want to go to the zoo?!?" In an effort to get her excited and to cooperate with getting ready. She would just say, "No," and go back to whatever she was doing. So then I would try again, "May don't you want to see the animals?" And she again gave me the same reply.

I was shocked. I was sure she would be stoked to go see a ton of different animals. Eventually we did get her in the car, and we did make it to the zoo. Turns out May did love the zoo, she just didn't feel like cooperating that morning. Here's the photos from our day:

The monkeys were probably one of her favs.
She was a little scared of this gorilla at first. She wouldn't get close to it.
Checking out the bird.
Dancing at the bird show.
With the bald eagle.
Papa took her on the carousal.
All smiles!
Checking out the tiger with Papa!
May loved the water animals.

Thanks Mom and Dad for coming to visit! We had a blast, and we miss you already! Come back soon!

Maylie Monday: Daddy's Cheerleader

Ryan has been playing city league softball with some guys from his work. Maylie and I try to go to games that aren't past little girl's bedtime.

Maylie loves the games. Mostly because she gets to see Nani and Grandad's puppy, "Kowo," and she gets to run around with all the other little kids. She has taken a particular liking to one kid who tries to evade her the entire game. I secretly think he likes it though.

Every so often she gets interested in the game for a minute and watches her dad and Grandad play, but mostly she just plays around the whole time.
